La Presa de Zimapan

We set out from Ezequiel Montes, a short drive from Bernal, and run through some rolling hills and rural terrain, before a thrilling descent to the base just above the Moctezuma River. This is the halfway point of the ride, and you're going to want to take a bunch of photos here as the scenery is breathtaking. See some photos below.

From there, we need to climb back out of the river basin, and there are some challenging slopes here over the next 5km. We then roll back the way we came (more descent than ascent on the return) to make our way back to Ezequiel Montes.
