Mineral de Pozos Gravel
An outstanding, varied route with lots of ups and downs starting an ending in what was once a ghost town.
Mineral de Pozos was once a thriving mining community, then a complete ghost town, and now a small community built around architecture from the mining boom days, experiencing something or a revival.
We set off through some twisty backroads with some ups and downs before rolling along some farmland, with a bit of chunky stuff along the way. We'll roll through some very small towns, see lots of livestock and finally start the climb back to Mineral de Pozos.
We'll finish the ride in a quaint outdoor restaurant that serves excellent pizzas (made in a woodfired oven) as well as pastas and typical Mexican fare. It's virtually impossible to end this ride in anything other than an elated state.
