The San Jose Iturbide Loop
The ride we do the most...this one has a bit of everything.
This ride is a loop, starting and ending in the quaint little town of San Jose Iturbide. There’s a little bit of everything on this ride. We start and end on mostly flat, well-maintained roads, before getting into a thrilling descent which passes through the migratory path of the monarch butterfly. From there, we pass through some small towns before diving even further down in elevation into a valley bordered by scenic, jagged hills. We’ll stop around the 85km mark, at a small roadside taco stand, where facilities are provided, and a small convenience store and bakery are also located. From there, we climb a twisty road with break taking views of the mountain range, before the final 20km flat road to San Jose Iturbide.
